What is the difference between the Navy Seals and Green Berets?
SEALs do DA / SR mainly. SF FID / UW mainly, but also can make DA / SR / CT. This is reflected in their training. SF soldiers must be proficient in at least 1 in other languages and are experts in their MOS in order to teach others how to do it. SF stresses the cultural fluency and social integration with other nations. SEALs do not worry about those things traditionally. They speak the language of the burden of backpack and removed the MP5 … and do better than anyone in the world. Yes, SF can (and does) carry out these missions, but its real value lies in their ability to work with foreign forces. This is not a SEAL mission, traditionally, though I've seen that change in recent years.
