What is a better kind of cocktail dress for a chubby / fat?
Because I'm like a fat girl / chubby. My stats are 36/32/40. So we really need to know what kind of cocktail dress should I use on our Christmas Ball in school. Please, any suggestions? Our Christmas Ball shall be 19 December. 
We are required to carry cocktail dresses. Therefore, I am trying to find a cocktail dress to fit the fat like me.
OK – first, the material must be dull or matte finish, not shiny. Probably a solid dark color. The lines should extend to eliminating some of the width. A deep V neckline is good. The skirt should be fairly straight. The duration depends on the rest of his body. If you have good legs, you can go with a shorter length. If the heavy legs, achieve greater length. It would be a good idea to wear a colorful scarf or something on the shoulder / neck area to direct people eyes to the face, not his girth. And remember, you can not completely hide her body.
